POEM by Patrick Strange

A Man

I was born as a Man,
not parts,
separate
and labeled,
pleasure and pain,
intellect,
which of these are real?
I was born as a Man,
not parts,
called reality
then me,
Am I like the rest of you?
A Man, not parts, real,
living, wanting and needing.
I was born as a Man,
not parts,
for your pleasure,
my pain,
your games...
called reality, which is real?
I was born as,
A Man.
